CCMA Annual Training Workshop
The 2010 workshop, Editorial and Advertising Training Day, will take place at San Jose State University Sept. 10 and 11. California College Media Association supports journalism programs and collaborates with journalism educators by conducting editorial and advertising boot camps to help widen students’ knowledge and understanding of both the newsroom and advertising. These annual training workshops are open to both university and junior college students.
This year’s popular training offers unique opportunities for your staff:
• A Friday hands-on audio-slideshow training and competition with awards for first, second and third place.
• A panel discussion with Silicon Valley companies on job-hunting strategies.
• Interactive sessions on everything from interviewing to creating/hosting your own Website.
• Peer sharing sessions.
• Professional ad sales training and tactics.
