Join the Board
California College Media Association is the only organization in California that promotes and supports media programs at four-year colleges and junior colleges. If you are faculty or professional staff involved with student media, consider taking a leadership position on CCMA’s executive board.
Our most recent activities included an editing and advertising boot camp in September at Cal State Fullerton and our annual California College Media Competition in February. In the past, this contest has attracted more than 1,200 entries from 28 schools.
The board meets at least twice a year. Board members attend these meetings, join telephone conference calls and assist with planned activities. Without a hardworking and dedicated board, CCMA’s activities and contest cannot be offered to students.
Joining the executive board is also a great way to meet others who are actively involved in student media and who support student media on a statewide level.
If you are interested in joining the board or have any questions about CCMA, its training sessions or its annual competition, please feel free to e-mail Dave Waddell at dwaddell@csuchico.edu.
We look forward to hearing from you.
